Hoosier Heritage Management, LLC is a subsidiary of UDWI REMC. Established in 2013, HHM is a vegetation management company. The HHM team works to keep power lines clear of vegetation to help UDWI achieve safe, reliable power.
In 2020, 38% of UDWI outages were caused by vegetation. But more importantly, vegetation outages typically are long-lasting and affect a higher number of members than other types of outages.
HHM is working to lower UDWI’s vegetation outages. The organization is working to achieve a long-term goal: to bring the vegetation management system up to the industry standard of a “seven-year trim cycle” that has never been in place at UDWI.
An Indiana-based company, Hoosier Heritage understands that to achieve our goals, many people and different types of skills are required. All are important.
UDWI allows its members to submit requests for trees to be trimmed on their property that may be obstructing power lines. Please visit our tree trim request page to submit your request today.
